1. The 2-Minute Tax Checker
The interactive tax checker runs entirely within your browser. It does not collect passwords, financial values, or identifying documents. Your responses are not submitted to Aoline unless you choose to forward your summary by submitting your name and email.
2. When You Make an Enquiry
When you contact Aoline via our web forms, email, or telephone, we collect your name, email address, country of residence, and the brief summary you provide. This information is processed under the following lawful bases:
- Pre-Contractual Steps (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR): To review your UK tax position, assess suitability, and provide you with a fixed-fee proposal.
- Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): To respond to enquiries, prevent spam/abuse, and maintain professional records.
3. Data Minimisation & Confidentiality
Please do not include passwords, banking PINs, or complete identity documents in initial web enquiries. Full identity verification and confidential tax records are collected securely only after an agreed engagement begins.
4. Infrastructure & Processors
Your data is processed using secure, enterprise-grade cloud providers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest:
- Hosting & Edge Infrastructure: Vercel Inc. (HTTPS delivery and serverless execution).
- Database Storage: Neon Inc. (Serverless PostgreSQL with encryption at rest).
- Email & Communication: DreamHost LLC (Encrypted SMTP mail routing).
- Operational Alerts: Telegram API (Direct notification of new inbound enquiries to Matthew Manderson).
5. Cookies & Tracking
Aoline does not use third-party tracking, advertising, or profiling cookies. The only cookie used on this website is an essential session cookie required for authenticated administrator access.
6. Your Data Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data held about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request permanent deletion of your enquiry data.
