I am an experienced adviser and my professional experience in tax started in 1995 training and working both with the large accountancy firms and in private practice.
As a member of 3 professional tax bodies I am professionally qualified as a ‘Chartered Tax Adviser’ or CTA for short. This means I hold the highest recognised qualification available to those specialising in UK taxation. Visit the CIOT website and search for me in the ‘Find a CTA’ section. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (view certificate), the Association of Taxation Technicians (view certificate) and of the Malta Institute of Taxation (view certificate) and I lecture locally on OECD international tax conventions with the Malta Institute of Management. A scan copy of my passport is available so please have no concerns about my authenticity.
I work as electronically as possible to keep administration to a minimum. This means exchanging correspondence by email and by .pdf letter. By working this way it speeds up our communication.
As soon as my work is complete you receive it immediately in your inbox rather than waiting for the post to arrive. This has proved exceptionally important when I work with clients in distant countries and on tight deadlines.
In addition to corresponding by telephone and email I aim to complete your tax return electronically. This enables you to take advantage of ‘Filing by Internet’ with the UK HM Revenue & Customs to speed up your tax return processing and means that refunds are issued sooner. In extreme cases it allows your late tax return to be filed in minutes rather than risk being lost in the post across the world.
Clients I work with are currently based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Azerbaijan, UAE Dubai, Iraq, Italy, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, France, England, Scotland, Eire, Wales, Spain, Malta, South Africa, United States and Canada.
I am able to provide most cross border advice and I prepare US as well as UK tax returns. I can help advise on tax returns for other countries but not speaking the native language I tend to suggest liaising with a local professional. This allows me to help with the strategic approach and guide your local adviser to prepare the tax return to achieve the tax effect that we expected.
The Chartered Institute of Taxation is the leading membership body for professionals in taxation. Membership is by rigorous examination and practical experience followed by continuous professional training.
“My attention to detail is evidenced by a successful track record with the HM Revenue & Customs as my clients affairs have never been subject to mistakes in HMRC enquiries and I work to keep it that way.”
Clients include those working in the construction industry as well as higher rate tax paying employees and expatriates.
Drop me an email to contact for more information if you think I can help you.
I’ll include my ‘getting started‘ pack which contains more detailed information to help inform your decision to choose me.
